As the Deputy Chief of Global Advocacy and Policy in AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), Loretta is responsible for the development of HIV and other global public health strategy and policies for 45 countries around the world.
Before joining AHF, Loretta was the Chief Executive of a Hong Kong based NGO, AIDS Concern, and she has gained over six years of solid experience in organization management. She was the former board member of the Developing Country NGO Delegation to the Board of the Global Fund, which enhanced her knowledge and skills in handling multi-lateral collaborations in aid programmes. She was also elected as the Vice Chair of the Implementer Group in the Global Fund, which allowed her to lead 10 of the Board implementer constituencies.
Loretta has excellent interpersonal skills and strong leadership in organization and team settings. She has a positive mind set and is willing to learn new knowledge and skills. She is sensitive to the diverse needs of affected populations at country level and ready to defend their needs and rights. She is strong in communications and can engage with people from all walks of life and diverse cultural background.
Loretta holds a MSc in Health Systems Management (University of London) and a bachelor degree in Social Work (Hong Kong Baptist College). She also holds a certificate in Global Health Delivery (Harvard Office of the Vice Provost for Advances in Learning), certificates in High Impact Leadership, and Communicating for Influence & Impact (Institute for Sustainable Leadership, University of Cambridge).
