Projects

The Pandemic Fund’s Governing Board has allocated three rounds of grant funding totaling US$1.4 billion, that has helped catalyze an additional US$10.1 billion for a total of 67 projects covering 128 countries across six regions. These investments seek to strengthen disease surveillance and early warning, laboratory systems, and health workforce.

The World Bank-funded Village and Neighborhood Development Project (VNDP) aims to build capacity in marginalized communities through a community-driven development (CDD) approach. In Tubas, the community (through the project's Joint Service Council) bought a excavator/backhoe (at a price USD 84,000) that now services nine villages. It is used to dig holes for olive trees, and to build access roads which makes it easier for farmers to get to their fields even during the rainy season. Here, farmer Moa

Irrigated wheat fields at Huntley Farm, which is owned and operated by Zambeef. It includes 4,500 hectares of cropped land, includedig 60 hectares of wheat fields. It also includes poultry houses, a dairy, a dairy processing facility, an abattoir, a flour mill, egg production and a transport facility with trucks. 22,000 chickens are slaughtered daily, and 150-200 cattle per week. There are 160,000 laying hens.
