SECRETARY RALPH GONZALEZ RECTO DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE Ralph Gonzalez Recto is the current Secretary of the Department of Finance (DOF) and Member of the Monetary Board, the highest policy-making body of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), representing the government. 

Mr. Laeeq Ahmed has thirty-one year experience of professional life. He belongs to Central Superior Services of Pakistan. He has served as head of the following Provincial Departments. 

1. Secretary Labour & Human Resources Department, Sindh

2. Administrator, Karachi Municipal Corporation, Sindh

3. Secretary, Food Department, Sindh

Lena Nanushyan holds a preventive medicine physician qualification from Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi, where she studied between 1992 and 1998.  Her further specialization from 1998 to 2000 was under the Organization of Healthcare Program at the National Institute of Healthcare after S. Avdalbekyan of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia. She earned her Master of Public Health Degree from the American University of Armenia (2003 - 2005).

The Honourable Dr. Frank Anthony, Minister of Health has been practicing medicine in Guyana since 1993.  In addition to being in clinical practice over the years, Minister Anthony taught at the University of Guyana as an adjunct professor in Public Health and consulted for several organisations in this field. From 2006 to 2015, he served the people of Guyana as the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, and as the shadow Minister of Health from 2015 to 2019.  

Mr. Saud M. AlBarrak is the Director General of International Financial Institutions at the Ministry of Finance (MoF) in Saudi Arabia. He also serves as the Saudi Deputy-Deputy in the G20 Finance Track and acts as the lead representative at the International Financial Architecture Working Group. Prior to this role, he held the position of Director of the Multilateral Development Banks and Funds Department at MoF. Between 2019 and 2020, he served as a Policy Advisor at the Saudi G20 Presidency. Mr.

Anne-Claire AMPROU is the French Ambassador for Global Health and, since April 2022, the French negotiator of the international agreement on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response.

Mr. Shuichi Hosoda is Deputy Vice Minister of Finance for International Affairs of the Ministry of Finance, Japan.

Syarifah Liza Munira is a health economist currently serving as the Director General, Health Policy Agency at the Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia. Her interest and expertise spans across a range of public health issues including global health systems, pharmaceuticals and vaccines, tobacco control, behavioral economics, and innovative financing.

ABOUT THE EVENT

Taking place on the eve of the High-Level Meeting on Pandemic Preparedness, Prevention and Response (HLM on PPPR), this event will mark the Fund’s achievements in its first year, while underscoring the need to maintain the momentum and the urgency to scale up pandemic PPR investments in low- and middle-income countries.
